Takamatsu

Takamatsu, which literally translates to high pine trees, is the capital of Kagawa Prefecture on the Japanese island of Shikoku. Takamatsu is located in the northern part of the island, on the coast of the Inland Sea. Its main tourist attraction is Ritsurin-kōenngarden, which was designed in the Edo period. Nowadays, the city is famous for its noodles, sanuki udon, which are said to be delicious and inexpensive.
