Yokohama

Yokohama, the second largest city in Japan, was one of the first cities to open its doors to foreign residents during the Meiji Restoration (1868-1911). Today, it is a bustling port town with quite a few buildings of national historical importance. You can enjoy a pleasant day of shopping as you stroll around Motomachi shopping street. The Foreign Cemetery contains the graves of approximately 3,000 foreign residents who actively participated in opening Japan to the world.
