Inuyama

Inuyama is famous for its beautiful castle and many tourist attractions. Built in 1537, Inuyama Castle is the oldest medieval fortress still standing in Japan. Its four-storey tower is considered a National Treasure and overlooks the Kiso River. It is a wonderful example of the architecture of the historical Japanese castles. An observation deck on the top floor of the tower offers a lovely view of the surrounding area.
